Looking for a hassle free Cape Cod bike rental? Congratulations – you’ve come to the right place. Don’t know exactly how long you’ll be cycling? No worries – at Barb’s you pay after returning your bikes. We’re also the only shop on Cape that charges in 30-minute increments, so you’ll never pay for more time than you actually rode.

Our Shop in South Dennis offers direct access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT). This picturesque paved path provides a safe cycling experience away from the Cape’s busy summer traffic. Additionally, it offers beautiful coastal New England scenery during your ride. Something we suggest to all visitors is stopping along the way for lunch and a cool swim in one of the Cape’s crystal clear kettle ponds.

The CCRT is a truly memorable ride for cyclists of all ages!

Renting bikes at Barb’s is easy:

  1. For large parties and/or rentals over 24 hours, email us with your details: party size, bike style(s) and accessory needs
  2. Drive to our shop, conveniently adjacent to the Cape Cod Rail Trail
  3. Give us a credit card impression, then pick up your bikes and ride!
  4. Enjoy your scenic Cape Cod cycling adventure…
  5. Drop off the bikes, and pay only for your actual riding time
  6. Cherish the memories for a lifetime!

RENTAL POLICIES
- No reservations for groups of 15 or less - with 400 bikes, we have what you need!
- Customer bike sizing is always more accurate when done in person
- We charge after your ride in 30-minute increments, not before for all bike types EXCEPT for ebikes & road bikes
- Our road bikes can be equipped with Shimano SPD clipless or flat pedals
- Minimum age requirement for cyclists riding e-bikes is 18 yrs old
- Anyone riding e-bikes under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Dog carts rental pricing is the same as children's carts
BIKE CAR RACKS
Each rack holds up to 2 bikes
$10.00 per day, $15.00 for 3 days or $20.00 per week
HELMETS
MA requires all children ages 16 & under to wear helmets
FREE with any bike rental
AFTER HOURS LOCK UP
Feel like extending your ride until after we close? Barb's offers an outdoor lockup area for after hours rental dropoffs - just lock the bike whenever you get back!

Delivery

We offer local bike rental delivery and pick up for our customers by request. Dennis, Harwich and Yarmouth are all towns we deliver to during the summer. Please call us with your bike transport request in advance. Delivery fees are based on destination, number of bikes, and rental period length. If nobody is present at the specified address when we arrive, a restitution fee will be charged depending on distance. We also ask that your bikes be delivered and picked up at the same address to help avoid confusion for our delivery drivers. Bikes should be returned with all accessories provided for your rental (helmets, locks, trailers, etc.).
